Drury University went to the basics on Saturday to end a frustrating three-game losing streak in men’s basketball.

Good offense: The Panthers hit 10-of-19 treys, 17-of-20 free throws and shot a season-best 57.1 percent on field-goal attempts..

Good defense: They held the league’s highest-scoring team to 25 points under average and held off every second-half charge.

The result was an 83-62 victory over Lindenwood at O’Reilly Family Event Center.

The victory bears some similarity to last season, when the Panthers came off a frustrating losing streak — that included a last-second loss on a Thursday night — and simply wiped out league-leading Lewis at home.
