'He became a leader for us': Glendale quarterback steps up to get Falcons back on track

Glendale football didn't look like Glendale going into Friday night’s game against Lebanon.

The Falcons were held to less than 30 points in two-straight losses after winning and scoring 30 or more in every game in 2016.

The team needed someone to step up, and head coach Mike Mauk said senior quarterback Alex Huston did exactly that Friday night and during the week leading up to the game.

“He became a leader for us,” Falcons head coach Mike Mauk said. “He’s always been a great player for us but he just demonstrated a lot of leadership throughout the week in preparation before the game and during the game.
