WILLARD — Greenwood found itself down 10 in the fourth quarter against one of the elite teams in the area, but it didn't quit.
Five-star senior Aminu Mohammed led Greenwood to an incredible fourth-quarter rally to beat Kickapoo 74-72 in a highly-anticipated matchup between two of the area's best teams at Willard High School in the championship game of the Willard Basketball Classic.
Mohammed finished the game with 43 points.
The two teams will meet again in the Springfield R-12 Winter Classic in mid-January. The event takes the place of the canceled 2021 Bass Pro Tournament of Champions.
