Game camera catches alleged cabin arsonist suspected of retaliating for poaching report

Authorities have arrested a man who allegedly started the blaze that burned down a cabin in Shannon County earlier this year.

A Shannon County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene in Timber on Jan. 5 to find a cabin burnt down. When he spoke to cabin owner Brandon Butler, he learned that there was a game camera on the property facing where the cabin had stood, according to a probable cause statement.

The game camera revealed a man, identified in court documents as 32-year-old Corey J. Landrigan, carrying a rifle along the front side of the cabin and fire could be seen in the east window.
