It often gets mentioned when analysts wager whether or not a quarterback will properly prepare to handle the pressure of a blitz. The game even features a “ready for play” signal officials gesture to kickstart the snap of the ball.
If there’s anyone who believes in and actualizes the concept of being ready, it’s a locally grown Missouri State University Bears running back. It’s a 5-foot-9-inch, 190 lb. sophomore who was born less than two hours from Springfield, Missouri, and played his high school home games less than 15 miles south of his current home field of Robert W.
