Former Ozark pitcher Lucas Harrell called up to big leagues

Ozark High School graduate Lucas Harrell is back in the major leagues.

Harrell, 32, was promoted on July 1 from the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Harrell, a 6-foot-2 rightie, pitched 2.2 innings out of the bullpen for the Blue Jays in their 7-1 loss to Boston on July 1. He gave up two runs and struck out three batters.

Toronto is Harrell's fifth Major League Baseball team. He pitched previously for the Chicago White Sox, the Houston Astros, the Atlanta Braves and the Texas Rangers.
