The former Missouri State star and Springfield Cardinals fan-favorite has been tearing it up as a member of the New York Yankees during the shortened 2020 season.
Voit is among the MLB's leaders in home runs after hitting his 14th of the season on Monday. He now trails only Mike Trout and Fernando Tatis Jr. for the Major League Baseball lead.
The home run helped him pass the likes of Jose Abreu, Mookie Betts and Nelson Cruz — each of whom is considered a most valuable player candidate in their respective leagues.
