Former Missouri State pitcher Matt Hall makes Boston Red Sox opening day roster

Matt Hall has made quite an impression since arriving in Boston.

The former Missouri State pitcher — who is responsible for one of the great pitching performances in the school's history — was announced as a member of the Boston Red Sox's opening day roster.

Hall was traded to Boston from Detroit in January. The Tigers picked Hall in the sixth round of the 2015 MLB Draft.

During Hall's Detroit career, he made 21 appearances and pitched 31.1 innings. He finished with a 9.48 ERA before being traded.

Since arriving in Boston, Hall has impressed.
