Anton Brookshire, one of the great high school players to come through southwest Missouri coming off a freshman season at Mizzou, committed on Tuesday afternoon to play for Rick Pitino at Iona.
The former Kickapoo High point guard and 2021 Class 6 state champion will continue his career at the New Rochelle, New York, school where he visited this past weekend.
Iona is currently coached by Pitino who has won an NCAA Tournament as the head coach at Kentucky in 1996 and a vacated title in 2013 at Louisville.
