Head coach Dana Ford’s ejection with 2:23 left in the game was the cherry on top of Missouri State’s 63-43 loss to Northern Iowa.
The first half was ugly to start the game.
Both teams shot less than 32 percent from the field. Missouri State went 0-7 from behind the 3-point line.
Neither team got into a flow of scoring. Senior Jarred Dixon led the Bears with six points at half. Senior Wyatt Lohaus and junior Isaiah Brown each had seven for the Panthers.
After the first 20 minutes, Missouri State took a two-point, 19-17 lead into the locker room.
