The Missouri State football team went under the lights on Wednesday for its second scrimmage of fall camp.

There were more rough spots than there were in the first scrimmage, with nine penalties, several dropped passes and a couple of poor shotgun snaps. One touchdown pass was wiped out by a penalty.

Junior receiver Jalen Esters scored on a long touchdown pass, and true freshman tailback Richard Nelson made a couple of nice moves on a TD run. Defensively, the highlights came on a big hit and a pass batted away in the end zone by sophomore safety Jared Beshore.
