The Missouri State University football team hosted the SMU Mustangs at Robert W. Plaster Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 13, marking the school’s first home game as a member of both Conference USA and the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). And, even though the weather may not have been great, the attendance was.
15,027 faithful fans came to watch the Bears play, and even though they would lose the game 28-10, fan spirit was still outstanding, showing how far Missouri State athletics has come in the last few years.
MSU’s athletic director, Patrick Ransdell, expressed excitement about the attendance at the game, calling it a success.
