It hasn't happened since William Fontleroy dunked all over Albert White when leading the Bears to a win over the Tigers in Columbia in 1998, but Missouri State and Mizzou are about to meet up again on the basketball court.
And it's going to happen in Springfield.
Former Missouri State head coach and current Mizzou head coach Cuonzo Martin said in an unlisted YouTube video that was sent to the News-Leader that he's bringing the Tigers to play at JQH Arena in 2020-21.
"We go on the road, it's not final yet with paperwork, but we go on the road to Missouri State," Martin said in a #Mizzoom Inside the Huddle interview as well as saying his team will play Wichita State.
