The dock at Fellows Lake marina will not be ready for March 1, but other areas are slated to be completed by then.
In a meeting Jan. 20, officials listened to updates regarding a mountain bike trail, dock replacement and more regarding the City Utlities-owned Fellows Lake.
Construction of a new 6.65-mile long mountain biking and walking trail at Fellows Lake started in December, the first phase in an eventual 33-mile, $1.8 million trail expansion north of Springfield.
Dirt 66, drawing inspiration from nearby Historic Route 66, will be the largest network of professionally built mountain biking trails in Missouri when it eventually is built out to 70 miles, according to News-Leader archives.
