LAMAR — Fair Grove seniors lined up along the endzone in a straight line. Younger players lined up at one end and went through and hugged each senior one by one.
It's a tradition for Eagles football when their season comes to an end.
Unfortunately for Fair Grove, that tradition took place Friday night after the Class 2, District 4 title game after a 35-7 loss to powerhouse Lamar.
Tears flowed as players held each other in their arms. Final laughs in their uniforms and shoulder pads were had after one of the great seasons in the program's history.
