Facing elimination, Bears look to past for confidence

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The Missouri State baseball team needs a win to stay alive.

The good news for the Bears is that they have been in this spot before.

This week, in fact.

Texas Christian’s Evan Skoug hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Horned Frogs to a 3-2 win over Missouri State on Saturday in the Fort Worth Super Regional.

But after the game, MSU shortstop Jeremy Eierman was talking about Arkansas.

In the regional earlier this week, the Bears lost a heartbreaker to Arkansas on a late home run in a game that ended early Monday morning.
