ESPN thinks more Missouri State Bears than Chicago Bears will break out during the 2018 NFL season.
ESPN dropped a "The NFL's top 25 breakout 'prospects' for 2018" (Insider subscription required) story Tuesday morning on ESPN.com and listed Houston Texans linebacker Dylan Cole.
Cole — a Missouri State and Logan-Rogersville great — was listed as the No. 12 player who has a strong chance to make an impact in the NFL despite his lack of draft stock and the fact that he wasn't an immediate NFL starter.
Previous editions of the ESPN list have predicted players such as Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill, Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins, Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler and former Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles would break out before they were household names.
