Missouri State (15-6, 5-3) failed to take sole-possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 61-58 loss to Drake (12-9, 6-2).
The loss ends the Bears' two-game winning streak.
The Bears got out in front a quarter of the way through the first half after Jarred Dixon knocked down a jumper to give the Bears a one-point lead. They would lead for the rest of the half.
Contributions from Reggie Scurry off the bench and J.T. Miller in the starting lineup helped keep MSU out in front at the end of the first 20 minutes.
