The Springfield News-Leader is proud to announce its 2021 Dominant Dozen — honoring the 12 most impactful players of the high school football season.
The teams were picked based on in-season production, News-Leader staff observations and consultations with high school football coaches from across the area. Stats were provided by coaches and data was collected via MaxPreps and Hudl.
Members of the Dominant Dozen are all finalists for the News-Leader's high school football player of the year honor. The News-Leader will also conduct a fan vote for the fan's 2021 player of the year — which will also take into account players named to our "Next Dozen" and honorable mention squads.
