A controversial call late in Missouri State's three-point loss at No. 21 Xavier might have been the difference between the Bears losing or pulling off a major upset.

With the score tied at 56 with 57 seconds remaining, transfer Lamont West attempted a 3-pointer from the corner to try to give the Bears' the lead.

He missed the shot but appeared to be hit on the arm during his follow-through and then he fell to the ground.

Instead of getting three free throws and a chance at the lead, West was assessed a technical foul for "flopping.
