Current Mizzou head coach and former Missouri State head coach Cuonzo Martin said on Sports Talk with Art Hains on Monday that the proposed game between the Bears and Tigers isn't going to happen "as of now."
This comes nearly a month after the News-Leader acquired a video of Martin saying he was going to bring the Tigers to Springfield during the 2020-21 season. A contract for the game had yet to be finalized.
The first confirmation of talks about the game from the Missouri State side came when MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats said there were talks of a home-and-home series during last month's Board of Governors meeting.
