Missouri State’s football team is 12 workouts into its spring season, with the Bears on display on Friday for the one-half scrimmage of the 2½ scrimmages allowed by the NCAA.
With one week left in spring drills, ending in next Saturday’s Maroon & White Spring Game, not much has been decided in some of the highest-profile battles for starting spots.
At quarterback, the fight for the starting job between holdovers Brodie Lambert and Breck Ruddick, and redshirt freshman Michael Briggs, is still far from decided.
“One minute it’s one guy and the next minute it’s another guy,” Bears coach Dave Steckel said.
