Cold weather means hunting season is warming up

With temperatures dipping down into the freezing mark at night, it gets a hunter's blood boiling. As we start off November, hunting seasons pop up like spring mushrooms.

As the fall firearm turkey season ended, other hunters were just starting their season. The duck season opened in the north zone on Nov. 2, the middle zone will open Nov. 9 and the south zone won’t open until Nov. 28. Cold weather up north has a big migration started just in time for north Missouri hunters. Another good waterfowl season is expected this season as the population of ducks heading south is high.
