New Missouri State head coach Bobby Petrino has shown a commitment to recruiting players from southwest Missouri in recent days and that continued on Friday with the commitment of one of the area's top quarterbacks.
Camdenton quarterback Paxton DeLaurent tweeted on Friday morning that he is committing to Missouri State.
"Glad to announce that I will be joining a stellar Class of 2020 quarterbacks to go to Missouri State and compete for the job under the coaching of Bobby Petrino and Nick Petrino," DeLaurent said in a tweet. "I wanna thank everyone from Camdenton for the past 12 years for this incredible journey.
