Bobby Petrino was announced as Missouri State's next head football coach and will be tasked with trying to lead the Bears to the postseason since 1990.
Missouri State President Clif Smart labeled him as "one of the best coaches in America" in a tweet Tuesday night.
Petrino will replace former MSU head coach Dave Steckel — whom the university parted ways with in an announcement on Jan. 9.
