They needed four wins over Class 4 or 5 programs to earn the title but the Class 2 Hartville Eagles got them and now they're champions.
Hartville is a Blue and Gold Tournament champion for the first time since 1996 after defeating Logan-Rogersville with a 52-46 victory in the Blue Division championship on Monday night at JQH Arena.
The Eagles came into the tournament as a No. 4 seed but it didn't matter as it defeated Marshfield, Branson and top-seeded Branson before coming away with the championship win over the Wildcats.
