Nothing went according to the plan on Saturday for the Bears.
The Missouri State Bears dropped their second straight game in an ugly 37-0 loss to the Illinois State Redbirds in Normal, Illinois.
“They beat us in every phase of our ‘plan to win,’” Bears head football coach Dave Steckel said on his postgame radio show.
None of the phases were clicking for the Bears. Offense, defense and special teams all struggled to get anything going, which resulted in the Bears being shutout for the second time this season.
“We did a very, very poor job on both sides of the ball,” Steckel said.
