Missouri’s mini-run over the last couple of weeks ran into a Missouri State-sized buzzsaw on Tuesday night.
The Bears outclassed the Tigers in all areas from start to finish at Hammons Field, cruising to a 16-1 victory in the first meeting of the season between the two in-state rivals.
“Mizzou is always a fun game to play, especially with the atmosphere,” junior second baseman Aaron Meyer said.
Mizzou (20-15) came in with five victories in its last six games, taking two of three from both Arkansas and Auburn in Southeastern Conference play.
