Bears take series from Matadors

The Missouri State baseball team shutout California State Northridge 5-0 for their first shutout of the season.

The Bears capitalized early on in the game against CSUN’s starting pitcher Wesley Moore.

After junior Hunter Steinmetz’s lead off strikeout, junior Jeremy Eierman was hit by a pitch and earned his 10th steal of the season to reach second.

Sophomore catcher Drew Millas stepped up to the plate and hit his second home run of the season. The ball made it over the left-field fence, a spot hard to hit throughout the day as strong winds continued to blow towards right field throughout the game.
