Missouri State eliminated the Shockers with a 6-3 win in the first game Missouri State will play on Friday.
This marks the last game Wichita State will play Missouri State in any sport as a member of the Missouri Valley as the Shockers move to the American Athletic Conference.
The Bears will now play another game against the Illinois State Redbirds, while they look to stay alive in the Missouri Valley tournament.
“I didn’t even know who we were playing,” Bears head coach Keith Guttin said. “If we’re playing them, that’s fine.
