In 2015, the Missouri State football program endured probably its worst season that anyone still living can remember.
The ugly numbers have been beaten into the ground, so there’s no use recapping them yet again.
That season is nothing the coaches and players are eager to relive. But they aren’t completely forgetting it as they prepare for Thursday night’s season opener.
“We have bad history behind us, and I’m part of that history,” second-year Bears coach Dave Steckel said. “I don’t really want to look back on it; I’m just excited to go see what we have on Thursday night and ready to put one foot forward.
