Bears looking for strong non-conference finish

Related Topics: JQH Arena, Friday

The red-hot Missouri State Bears return to JQH Arena on Friday evening to battle Hampton at 7 p.m. in one of their final three non-conference games of the campaign.

MSU (8-2) is riding a six-game winning streak after a 20-point "neutral site" win over South Dakota State in Sioux Falls last Saturday and another double-figure road win at North Dakota State on Monday. For the year, the Bears now have stockpiled five wins away from home, including two over RPI top 50 programs — Western Kentucky and South Dakota State.

Defense has been the name of the game for MSU in that stretch, with the Bears’ opponents shooting a collective 37 percent from the field and scoring just 62 points per game.
