Dreams came true for Deion Holliman on Thursday night.
And it helped put the nightmare 2015 season further in the past for the Missouri State football team.
Holliman needed only about 12 seconds to put the Bears in control in the season opener at Plaster Stadium, taking the opening kickoff and returning it 91 yards for a touchdown.
It was the first knockout punch landed by the Bears in a 57-0 victory over Southwestern (Kan.) College, and the realization of some pregame imagery.
“I talked to a few of my teammates before the game, and I told them I had a crazy dream, that we were going to take the opening kickoff and return it to the house,” Holliman said.
