Bears flip switch against Sycamores

Two and a half innings into Friday night’s contest against Indiana State, the Missouri State Bears looked sluggish and tired, trailing the Sycamores 4-0.

And then, as they have done all season, the Bears flipped a switch in the bottom of the third inning.

“That's kind of been us the entire Valley play,” senior third baseman Jake Burger said. “We just believe in ourselves, in our offense and in our bullpen guys, so there's no worrying if we go down four runs.”

Senior Alex Jefferson and freshman John Privitera led the inning off with back-to-back walks to get the Bears in business.
