The No. 9 Missouri State men’s soccer Bears broke the program record for the longest win streak Saturday evening when they beat Evansville 2-1.
The Bears broke open the scoring just four minutes in when sophomore forward Nicolo Mulatero headed a ball that had just been headed by senior defender Ben Stroud into the back of the net.
“I was just standing there — the ball came over me,” Mulatero said. “I tried to hit it, and it went in.”
The second half began much like the first — this time senior forward Matt Bentley scored from outside the box.
