At the basketball court at the John B. Hughes apartment complex on the northwest side of Springfield, Missouri State men's basketball coach Dana Ford stood in front of a group of kids with some adults among them. They were all wearing the same T-shirts.
Ford looked at the group for his first "Bears, Badges & Kids" event and asked them to pick out who the police officers were.
The kids in the group pointed to the one officer who was in uniform to the side.
It was to the kids' surprise when Ford had every other officer at the event raise their hands.
