Baseball Bears bound for Fayetteville, clinch NCAA Regional berth

Missouri State’s baseball team is back in the big dance.

The Bears (40-17) have been selected for a stop in Fayetteville, Arkansas in the NCAA National Tournament. They are among 64 teams now in contention to be among the final eight to compete in the 2017 College World Series.

Missouri State plays an NCAA Regional game Friday, June 2, at 2 p.m. against Oklahoma State.

For the second time in three seasons, Missouri State’s road to the College World Series runs through Fayetteville. Arkansas (42-17) won the rights to host a Regional after finishing second to LSU in the Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship on Sunday.
