Another son of the former St. Louis Cardinals manager is set to play baseball for Keith Guttin.
Blaise Matheny — a senior outfielder at Westminster (St. Louis) — was set to sign with Missouri State at a 7:30 a.m. signing day event, according to a tweet by his high school team's Twitter account.
Matheny is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-handed outfielder who had already verbally committed to MSU.
During the 2018 season, Matheny batted .368 with one home run and 26 RBI.
When the signing is officially announced, Matheny will become the latest son of former Cardinals manager Mike Matheny to play at Missouri State.
