Back to the Missouri State Bears Newsfeed

Alize Johnson's brothers are rising hoops prospects. He flies them to Springfield to train.

Before Alize Johnson was a basketball star at Missouri State, the Pennsylvania-native grew up in a house with six siblings.

Johnson grew up half his life without a father or male role model. He became that figure for his younger brothers and sisters.

In Johnson's two years in Springfield, he became one of the most talented players to put on a Bears' uniform. During the 2018 NBA Draft, he became the first player from Missouri State to be picked since the great Winston Garland was selected in 1987.

Now with the Indiana Pacers, Johnson is inside the NBA's bubble at Walt Disney World in Florida as he awaits the restart of the season.
