Even though Dana Ford still has four years left on his contract, Missouri State is already thinking about an extension.

Ford is going into the second season of a five-year deal that runs through the 2022-23 season. With his quick rise and what could soon be more success, the head coach could be a hot commodity as soon as next offseason.

And Missouri State knows it.

A contract extension this offseason isn't happening, according to MSU President Clif Smart, but he thinks that will likely be something the university is going to have to prepare for come next spring.
