FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — One would think that the trip around the bases after a walk-off home run in the NCAA tournament would be something to remember.
That’s not the case for Jeremy Eierman. He remembers none of it.
“I really don’t remember running around the bases,” Eierman said. “I remember watching it go over and I blacked out, to be honest.”
His walk-off home run came with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, after Missouri State blew a 4-3 lead with two outs in the top half. The home run came after a Justin Paulsen lead-off single.
