The 2016-17 basketball season resulted with questions about the future of the Missouri State program.
Finishing 17-16 and sixth in the Missouri Valley, the Bears developed one of the conferences best — Alize Johnson. On the season, the forward averaged 14.8 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. The season also saw the loss of Bears point guard Ronnie Rousseau III mid-season.
Rousseau only played 14 games but averaged 11.6 points per game and was a large portion of the Bears offense.
It was a rollercoaster ride that gave Bears fans a reason to be angry at seasons end.
