The Missouri Valley Conference held its annual media day on Wednesday morning following the announcement of Drake being the league's preseason favorite going into the 2021-22 regular season.
Following Drake is Loyola Chicago, last season's champion, as it returns the majority of its players but lost one of the best players in the history of the conference and its head coach.
Northern Iowa star A.J. Green was announced as the league's Preseason Player of the Year after he sat out the majority of last season with an injury. Missouri State, picked to finish fourth, landed two players on the Valley's first team.
