Missouri State's week could end in a championship and a No. 1 seed in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, but it starts Wednesday evening in Normal, Illinois.
Illinois State had Missouri State beat in their last matchup until the Bears scored five points in the final 7.8 seconds — three of which came on a half-court shot at the buzzer to win the game by one point.
Now, the Bears find themselves in control of their own destiny in the final week of the regular season. With two wins, the Bears would guarantee themselves at least a share of the MVC regular season title.
