Central’s Makaiya Brooks put up 32 points, but it was not enough for her Lady Bulldogs as they fell to Jefferson City 74-53 in a Class 6 sectional matchup.
Regardless of how it ended, the folks at Central will celebrate Brooks’ time at "The Pit" well into the future.
Brooks sits atop Springfield’s all-time career scoring list with 2,359 points. She also has the record for 3-pointers made with 357.
Her jumper is quick-developing and, as shown by the 1,071 points from behind the arc, insanely lethal.
