Missouri softball's quest for an SEC Tournament title is alive and well.
On Thursday, Mizzou cruised past LSU 4-1 in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, setting the Tigers up for a contest with the Florida Gators in the semifinals.
In Missouri's first SEC Tournament win since 2015, Tiger pitcher Jordan Weber brought her A-game. The sophomore arm gave up just one run on two Gator hits. Offensively, Missouri senior Brooke Wilmes finished 3-for-4 at the plate.
For Florida, the Gators advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals with a 6-2 win over Missouri State — a game in which Florida trailed by two runs in the fifth inning.
