2021 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders select Mizzou safety Tyree Gillespie in the fourth round

The second former Missouri football player drafted is off the board to Sin City.

Safety Tyree Gillespie was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 143 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft on Saturday. The Raiders traded up with the New York Jets to select him.

Gillespie, a late draft riser, shot up draft boards after a 40-yard dash time of 4.38 seconds at Missouri's pro day March 22. Gillespie's second rep was 4.40.

Gillespie, an Ocala, Florida, native, said his showing was "very expected" thanks to hard work and dedication.
