It was a loss for MSU, but just as a football fan I enjoyed watching the game against BYU (aside from all the penalties). Both team’s brought a physical style of play on offense and ran downhill. It was sort of a throw back game – which you probably wouldn’t expect knowing Dan Mullen and Ty Detmer were calling the plays.
Without the albatross that is Brandon Holloway around the neck of the offense, Aeris Williams stepped up and played pretty well. He had 82 yards on 21 carries. That’s not a great average – but he did his roll by gaining tough yards and falling forward.
