Following the season ending injury to forward Chloe Bibby, Espinoza-Hunter has emerged into a star. In Mississippi State’s SEC Tournament victory over Arkansas, she tied a career high in points with 24, having drained a record eight 3-pointers. Espinoza-Hunter is averaging 8.9 points and can score at will.
That said, she is a streaky shooter and boasts quickness. The 5’11 sophomore from Ossining, New York is capable of lifting the Bulldogs when in need on the offense end. It is a guard’s game, especially today, and Espinoza-Hunter is the perfect compliment to senior Jazzman Holmes at the point.
