Mississippi State’s Quinndary Weatherspoon was named to the SEC All-Freshman team by the league’s coaches on Tuesday.
Weatherspoon started 16 of the Bulldogs’ 30 games during the regular season and finished third on the team averaging 12.2 points and second in rebounds at 4.7. During conference play, The 6-foot-4, 202-pound guard led MSU with 14.9 points and 27 steals.
“It’s a real honor to be named to the All-SEC Freshman Team,” Weatherspoon said. “All the credit goes to my coaches and teammates for this honor. I’ve just been working as hard as I can to get better and help my team get better this season and we’re not done yet.
